Lions Bert Mason Young Ambassador Award

BMYAA

Competition for the Lions Bert Mason Young Ambassador Award (BMYAA)

Social communities need people who are willing to help voluntarily and without remuneration.

Lions are looking for young people who have already taken on voluntary responsibilities in society or who want to do so. Lions will support, accompany, train and motivate these young people. Lions support the candidates and their projects with cash prizes of over €5,000 and other special prizes.

Conditions of participation: Participating young people must be 15 years old on 30 June 2026, but must not have celebrated their 19th birthday by 30 June 2026.

The young people will be assessed on their personality and their ability to be an ambassador. The project is merely a tool for identifying leadership qualities. It is therefore irrelevant whether a project is planned, currently underway or already completed. Ideas from other institutions or initiatives may also be used, as long as the participant’s own contribution is clearly recognisable.

An independent jury of non-Lions evaluates the participants’ contributions. They come from the fields of education/pedagogy, social services (youth work or community service) and business. The presentation, personality, project and use of the prize money are evaluated.
